Those who wish in memory of Mabel may contribute to Howard County Hospice. DEAMER, Guy W. On May 30, 2001, GUY W. DEAMER, 80, of RR2 McClure passed away at 7:40 p.m. at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after being stricken near his home.

He was born February 21, 1921 in RR2 McClure. April 18, 1942, he married the late Goldie I. Goss, who passed away October 9, 1998. He was a member of St. John's Ridge Church, RR2 McClure.

He retired in 1977 from Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point, MD after 38 years, retiring as a machine shop supervisor, He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was well known for his involvement in the Republican Party, serving as a councilman for many years. He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting, playing cards, gardening and landscaping. He had a special interest in Civil War History. He is survived by two sons, Kerry L.

Deamer, of Germantown, MD and Alan R. and his wife, Jean Deamer, of Ellicott City, MD, five grandchildren, Lisa Exter, Nichole and Michael Deamer, Robert and Jeffrey Serio; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Haywood, Lewistown and Violet Vogel. Bethany Beach, DE; and a brother, Lewis Deamer, Dearborn, MI. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey L. Deamer in 1995 and two brothers, Rodney and John Deamer.

Mr. Deitrich was a member of Porters Grove Baptist Church. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army serving from 1942 to 1945 as a sergeant in the 4th Infantry Division. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, Campaign Medal of Liberty, Good Conduct Medal and the Campaign Medal for European African Theater. He was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), VFW Post in Towson, MD.

He was employed as an operator for the Mass Transit Authority (MTA). for the city of Baltimore for 35 years with an accident free record. He is survived by his wife, Kate G. Deitrich of Conowingo; 4 sons, James C. Deitrich of St.

Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Phillip W. Deitrich of Hartly, DE, Mark S. Deitrich of Syracuse, NY and David M. Deitrich of White Marsh, MD; 4 daughters, Mariana M. Neumann of Conowingo, MD, Mary M.
