SUN, Tuesday, October 25, 1983 Lelia Stevens, educator at Salisbury Funeral services for Dr. Lelia Stevens, professor emerita of education at Salisbury State College, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Salisbury. Dr.

Stevens, who was 86, died Sunday at the Salisbury Nursing Home. She was professor of education at Salisbury State College from 1956 to 1967 and then taught for a year at Hood College in Frederick. Earlier, she had taught four years at Frostburg State College and four years at Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, Ga. Before entering college teaching, she had taught 14 years in the public schools of Madison, Wis. Born in Little Rock, Iowa, Dr.

Stevens held a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa, a master of arts from the University of Chicago, and a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and Phi Delta Gamma honorary fraternity for graduate women. She was a life member of Pi Lambda Theta honor and professional association in education. During World War II, Dr. Stevens joined the Navy as a WAVE lieutenant junior grade.

She was released from active service in 1947 as a lieutenant commander. In Salisbury, Dr. Stevens was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, a board member and president of the Salisbury branch of the American Association of University Women, and a member of the League of Women Voters, the Wicomico County Republican Women's Club and the American Association of Retired Persons. She is survived by her sister, Mrs.

Charles C. Boysen, of Washington, and six nieces and nephews. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund. Baptist church sets revival service The Hazelwood Baptist Church will offer revival services at 7:15 p.m.
