Sunday, May 17, 2015 A3 Carroll County Times REFLECTIONS OF CARROLL'S PAST TODAY'S ROUNDUP Tractor and Ford collide; man, 54, seriously injured Carroll County Sheriff's Office deputies and Pleasant Valley Fire Company responded to a vehicle collision at about 5 p.m. Saturday. A large John Deere tractor with a mower on the front and back sides was traveling westbound on Bachmans Valley Road in the area of John Owings Road and a 2000 Ford Mustang was traveling westbound behind the tractor when it attempted to pass the tractor and struck the rear-lower deck, according to the Sheriff's Office. The driver of the tractor from Manchester, a 54-year-old man, was alert and conscious when he was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to the Sheriff's Office. He suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ford Mustang was driven by a 20-year-old man from Pennsylvania who refused medical treatment, according to the Sheriff's Office. No one has been charged in the incident, according to the Sheriff's Office. Police could not provide any additional details as of 6 p.m. Saturday. Lauren Loricchio Man to enter plea in marijuana growing case A Taneytown man accused of growing more than 1,200 marijuana plants on his property and in a nearby cornfield is scheduled to enter a plea Monday.

Charles Russell Uhler, 60, of the 4400 block of Francis Scott Key Highway, is charged with manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute and possession of marijuana, according to electronic court files. Uhler was arrested in January after the Maryland State Police Marijuana Eradication Unit spotted what they believed could be a marijuana-growing operation during an aerial flight, according to court records. The Carroll County Drug Task Force went to the location and walked through the cornfield near Uhler's home and found numerous marijuana plants near his property and later found some behind his home while serving a warrant, according to the records. Uhler is scheduled for a plea hearing in the Circuit Court for Carroll County at 9 a.m. Monday.

Heather Cobun Carroll Arts Center to host theater, dance production The American School of Inspiration, based in Damascus, will perform "Now, That's Entertainment" 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carroll Arts Center, 91 W. Main Westminster. The group will perform pieces from "Swan Lake" and "The Lion King," combined with live vocals, tap dance and more. The show is directed by Aly Cardinalli.

Man falls overboard, dies in boating accident TOWSON Baltimore County police say a man has died in a boating accident. Police say officers and fire personnel responded to the 110 block of Engleberth Road just after 7 p.m. on Friday for an open-water rescue of a man who had fallen out of his boat in rough water.

Police say the man, who has been identified as 62 -year-old Lee Anthony Dregier, was taken to a local hospital, where he died. The incident is being investigated by the Police Department's marine unit. Associated Press Baltimore police respond to quadruple shooting BALTIMORE Baltimore police are investigating after two men and two women were shot in Baltimore's Oliver neighborhood. Police say officers were called at about 5 p.m. on Saturday to the 1700 block of North Broadway where two men and two women were shot.

No further details were immediately available. The shootings come on the heels of a particularly violent Friday night during which five people were shot, two fatally.
